NATS provides air traffic control services to aircraft flying in UK airspace, and over the eastern part of the North Atlantic. Last year, NATS handled some 2.2 million flights carrying around 200 million passengers. Safety is NATS’ first and foremost priority but we also aim to provide our service in an efficient and cost-effective way.
The Environment
NATS is the first air traffic provider in the world to set a target to reduce ATM carbon dioxide emissions by an average of 10% per flight by 2020.
