Domestic en-route rate re-filed for 2005

National Air Traffic Services (NATS) has re-submitted the UK’s proposed unit rate.

for en-route air traffic control services in 2005.  This follows a revision to the combined component of the charge added by the Department for Transport (DfT) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The new National Unit Rate for 2005 is now £56.29, down from £56.35 on the level originally filed with EUROCONTROL on November 1. The current unit rate, for 2004, is £57.94.

The NATS element of the National Unit Rate, at £48.47 per Chargeable Service Unit (CSU) for 2005, remains unchanged. However, since the original filing was made, the combined DfT/CAA component has reduced from £7.88 to £7.82.

Subject to ratification by the Member States of EUROCONTROL, the charge will come into effect on January 1 next year.

A copy of the new EUROCONTROL submission is available on the NATS website at www.nats.co.uk.
