Non-Standard Flight Applications
A Non-Standard Flight (NSF) is considered to be an aerial task which does not follow published routes or notified procedures, a formation flight of civil aircraft, the establishment of a temporary landing site or multiple short term operations (UK AIP ENR 1-1-4-1).
This site is for Non-Standard Flight approvals, renewals and amendments for UK airspace. This is split into five areas of responsibility depending on the location of the flight:-
- London Terminal Control
- London Area Control
- Scottish Control
- Restricted Areas R157, R158 and R159 (An Enhanced Non-Standard Flight request)
It is also for notification of the following activities for the London Terminal Control and London Area Control areas only:-
- Balloon and Lantern Releases
- Model Aircraft Flights
- Balloon Tethering
