NATS is proposing a narrow extension to the November 601 airway over central England, and we are now consulting on our proposal.
The proposal affects airspace at a minimum of 11,500ft north-east of Bedford, rising to 19,500 above Sheffield. The general width of the proposed extension is 5 nautical miles.
The consultation includes environmental and conservation groups, aviation stakeholders and county councils and unitary authorities representing communities beneath proposed changes to airspace up to 19,500ft. The consultation is open until 21 July 2008 and the full Stakeholder Consultation document is available to read.
