Course Aims:
To train Engineers in repair and maintenance of the MDL13 system down to Line Replaceable Unit level.
Course Description:
To familiarise and train Engineers in the repair and maintenance of the MDL13 system down to Line Replaceable Unit level.
Training Objectives:
On completion of the course, and with the aid of relevant documentation, the student will be able to:
- State the principles of operation of the MDL13 system and describe its role in a communications infrastructure.
- State the purpose and operation of the various components that make up the MDL13 system.
- State what external factors can effect the integrity of the MDL13 link.
- Identify failing units in the system from visual alarm indications, and restore the system to operational service.
- Carry out maintenance procedures.
