Course Aims:
To introduce Engineers to the NAVAIDS in a typical Air Traffic Control Environment.
Course Description:
Introduces Engineers to the typical Navigational Aids used to facilitate ATC.
Training Objectives:
At the completion of the course and with the aid of relevant documentation the student will be able to:
- Identify typical NAVAIDS.
- Describe how NAVAIDS may interact with each other.
- State principal users.
- Describe principles of operation for NAVAIDS systems within NATS.
- Identify provision for remote control and monitoring.
- Describe system redundancy arrangements.
