Course Aims:
To train Engineers to set up and maintain the AGIVIS IRVR system to the standard operating conditions laid down in the relevant NATS Maintenance Schedule/s and to enable the diagnoses of faults to line replacement unit level.
Course Description:
In this course the AGIVIS system is described, and approved maintenance and repair procedures covered. The course has a high practical content and includes maintenance and repair procedures for the transmissometer.
Training Objectives:
At the completion of the course, with the aid of the relevant documentation, the students will be able to:
- Describe the signal and data flow within the system, indicating the functions of each unit.
- Identify system failure in an operational environment and take the necessary action to restore a service.
- Interpret error conditions and self test results and where appropriate be able to use the standard diagnostics.
- Diagnose faults to PCB or LRU level as appropriate, replacing the faulty item.
- Perform planned maintenance.
Course Pre-requisites:
A basic knowledge of microprocessing.
