Course Aims:
To enable Engineers to conduct the relevant maintenance operations by providing them with a knowledge and understanding of the Harmer and Simmons NBS. This is a depth level B course.
Course Description:
Develops the skills required to maintain this equipment down to LRU level.
Traning Objectives:
On completion of this course, with the aid of relevant documentation the student will be able to:
- Describe and perform the safety procedures that must be followed when working with high energy battery-backed power supply equipment, and identify hazardous areas / components.
- Recognise the existence of anomalous or fault conditions and diagnose the fault to LRU Level.
- Demonstrate replacement of LRUs.
- Carry out the measurement and adjustment operations on the NBS system in accordance with the appropriate Maintenance Schedule.
