Course Aims:
To train Engineers to restore to operational service and maintain the equipment
Course Description:
This course is designed to train Engineers to maintain, set up and restore the 2020 DME operational service.
Training Objectives:
On completion of the course, with the aid of the relevant documentation, the student will be able to:
- Describe the function and operation of the system and its monitoring in terms of signal and data flow and its interface with other systems
- Identify system failure in an operational environment and take the necessary action to restore service
- Use the built in test facilities to identify the status of the equipment and recognise abnormal indications
- Diagnose faults to line replaceable unit (LRU) level and return the system to operational service
- Carry out system setting up and alignment checks using the Lap Top PC, BITE and front Panel Controls and Indications as appropriate
- Perform planned and corrective maintenance appropriate to depth B requirements
